1964 Appointment of Mr. J.A. O’HANRAHAN as school principal
Before him, there were teacher-in-charge & heads of short duration – Dr. PONG Tak-sun, Mr. C.K. LIN, Mr. J.A. MACLEAN & Mr. F.C. GAMBLE.
The official opening of the school premises took place on 19 November 1964 by His Excellency the Governor, Sir David TRENCH, KCMG, MC.

A display of the Geographical Project on Open Day 1964 :
The project, titled “Shaukeiwan”, was a thorough study including geology, relief, population, settlement, fishery, industry and agriculture of the district.

1966 Form 5 Students Dinner Dance
The Chinese Dramatic Production Committee, formed by the Form 5 students 1965-66, produced their 1st Chinese Play “Father’s Return” (父歸). This post-examination activity took place on 20th July 1966. Former Head Teacher Mr. T.S. PONG was invited as the Guest of Honour of the event.

The Hon. C.Y. KWAN and Mrs. KWAN were the Principal Guests at the Speech Day ceremony.

Mr. TING and his father donated two annual scholarships, the H.C. TING Scholarships and an annual prize for Physics, the Dennis H.S. TING Form Lower Six Physics Prize.
1969-70 Swimming & Life-Saving Club
In the Annual International Life-Saving Race by the Hong Kong Life Guard Club held at Repulse Bay, the SGSS Team won the Girls Champion (the Edward Hale Trophy [UK] Award), Boys Champion (the Gallow’s Trophy [Canada] Award), 2 Gold Medallions, 2 Silver Medallions & 2 Bronze Medallions.
In the Inter-school Life-Saving Gala of the Hong Kong Schools Sports Association, the Team won the Overall Championship for C Grade Boys. A total of 52 medals were awarded.
